To lighten up my day

To warm my cold empty heart 

To let me forget for a moment 

That life is not fair 

That my love for you is always there 

That maybe there is a reason to be happy 

A photo of you is all I need 

To remember the pain I felt 

All the cold words you said

All the silence moment we had

All the times you made me cry

All the lonely days that went by 

As I was drowning in my own sorrow 

Thought you will give me your hand 

But you left me until I reached the ground 

And I just lay there waiting to be saved 

I don’t understand why love is not fair

Why love can’t be without pain

So maybe just let my love fade 

And as I keep looking at your photo

I can’t help but wonder 

Maybe all I need to do

Is delete that photo of you
